A Paranormal Problem is the unofficial title of a special event available to players level 8 and up that will run for two weeks. The event started in October and will continue through November 2020. Players who have updated their game late will still be able to participate in the event for a limited time.
In the event, Diego and Comet return to the coffee shop. There's something wrong with Diego and Comet thinks it could be paranormal. Helping Diego by completing his orders will net the player different rewards, such as gifts, spices, and special event-related decoration items.

Story[]
Day of the Dead Dilemma[]
Diego returns to the coffee shop with a bit of dilemma. He's been having a recurring nightmare ever since he started celebrating the Day of the Dead. Before he can start his adventure and find out what's happening, however, he needs to make some cash.
Prepare 1 order and then find out what the traveler's been seeing in his dreams.
Diego's Nightmare[]
Diego's recurring nightmare centers around a beautiful, dark-haired woman who keeps trying to give him a piece of jewelry. He decides to tell Comet about his problem to see if she can help.
Talk to Comet when she comes to the coffee shop.
Comet is not surprised to hear about Diego's problem since her boyfriend seems to exaggerate often, and says it's best to just play along and "exorcise" the spirit out of him.
Ask the customers how to get rid of unwanted spirits.
- Mary suggests buying the Mummy Costume for your employees. Then no ghost will come near the coffee shop! If you do, she'll give you 1 Blue Gift.
- Bill thinks you should cast a fireball.
- Fernando has been watching too many movies and is waiting for the guys with the vacuum cleaners to arrive.
- Watson says you should place the Estela and Prospero statuettes in the coffee shop. If you do, he'll give you 1 Gold Gift.
- Margaret is ready to have a showdown with any spirit.
- Koffsky is going gray from all the scary stories.
- Petrovich isn't planning on kicking anyone out, spirit or not.
- Cleo knows how to get rid of unwanted spirits. But first Diego needs to remember everything that happened at the cemetery.
Comet knew it wouldn't be a quick fix. She tells you to talk to Diego to find out what happened at the cemetery. Before you go, she gives you a Pumpkin Floor Lamp.
Diego has a suspicion he picked up the ghost when he went to the fountain at the cemetery to have a drink. Hearing what happened, Comet thinks the water might have been stagnant or had chemicals in it to make Diego hallucinate. She decides to go to the cemetery herself with Diego to find out what's going on.
Talk to Diego once 3 orders are ready.
Victoria[]
On their way to the cemetery, Diego has the same nightmare again and he finds out her name: Victoria. He remembered seeing the name recently on a gravestone, and when he and Comet get to the cemetery, his suspicions are confirmed when he recognizes the photo on the grave.
Comet finds out from an old woman at the cemetery, who she thinks must be a custodian, that Victoria was in love with a sailor who ended up lost at sea. In her grief, she threw herself into the ocean. She tells Diego this, but he has been oddly silent, and Comet has no idea what he's thinking.
Talk to Diego about the story once 5 orders are ready.
