Fashion for Charity is a special event available to players level 8 and up and will run for two weeks. The event started in September and will continue through October 2020. Players who have updated their game late will still be able to participate in the event for a limited time.

In the event, Nicole returns to the coffee shop and wants to earn money so she can help shelter animals get adopted. Helping her by completing her orders will net the player different rewards, such as gifts, spices, and special event-related decoration items.

Story

Nicole's Good Deed

After adopting Buster from an animal shelter, Nicole wants to help other animals and help them find their forever homes. She wants to become a courier for the coffee shop to save money and help animals.

Complete 1 order and talk to Nicole.

Bright Ideas

Nicole is trying to find homes for seven unique pets at the shelter. She gives you a Moderna Lamp to help with brainstorming. Unfortunately, none of the customers are able to adopt an animal.

• If Watson smells of another animal, his police dog will get jealous and refuse to work.
• Mary already has a cat, and Bill, who sometimes acts like a helpless kitten.
• Margaret can't devote the time to one and her pension won't cover the cost of caring for a pet.
• Koffsky has a fur allergy.
• Petrovich already has a pet and isn't prepared to take on another.
• Fernando has a fraught history with animals.
• Cleo has her hands full with her dog, but she might be able to help Nicole some other way.

Cleo has a couple ideas. Her first is to use fashion somehow to find new homes for the animals. Her second is to dress your employees in the Style Verdict Costume for a Blue Gift.

Nicole understands everyone's reasoning and admits that she isn't ready to have another pet either because it's such a huge responsibility. While Cleo's ironing out the details to her plan, Nicole asks you to fulfill some more orders.

Cleo's Plan

Cleo has a plan to hold a fashion show with the animals in costumes. It will draw a big crowd and people will want to adopt their very own little runway star. She and Nicole are going to sit up all night sewing costumes for the animals.

Find out after 6 orders if they were successful.

Prepping for the Show

On her way to the convention center after collecting the animals for the show, Nicole got a bad feeling. She looked in her rearview mirror and saw that animal control was tailing her! They thankfully get to their destination without incident, but that was just the beginning. At the convention center, there is chaos with the animals, and one grumpy cat who doesn't like any of the outfits. But Marshmallow, Cleo's dog, sets an example and walks down the runway, all the other animals following suit. The real show is about to start, but you need to fulfill some more orders first.

After 10 orders, find out from Cleo if all the animals managed to find new homes.

Watson's Idea

The fashion show was a partial success, and two of the animals found their forever homes, even with animal control sitting in the front row and trying to put a damper on the event. Then, a commotion started when someone blew a whistle, attracting the attention of one of the dogs, who jumped off stage and straight into the arms of animal control! Unprepared, the dog was able to get away and ran outside, ultimately netting his pursuers in their own trap and returning back to the convention center. Because of the commotion, however, the other animals weren't able to find homes. Watson has an idea to hold a grooming contest at the police station, which needs the publicity, and he thinks it will also help the rest of the shelter animals get adopted too!

The Grooming Contest

The contest went well, and three more animals were able to find homes, two of them adopted by the stylists themselves and the other by one of Watson's fellow police officers. Although Watson was congratulated for a job well done by the department chief, there were a couple of suspicious characters lurking around the event who turned out to be stray catchers from animal control, although this time, they messed with Watson's police dog, Toby, and the trained pup was able to scare them off.

Only two dogs, the bonded Dalmatians, are left, and Nicole wants to show everyone how loving and loyal they can be. Cleo knows a photographer perfect for the job, but he's completely booked up. She'll need time to work something out with him.

The Photoshoot

The Dalmatians are too energetic for the photoshoot, making Cleo's photographer friend regret turning down a job for this fiasco. Cleo realizes during the shoot that she forgot to feed the two pups, so she goes out to get buttermilk to help calm them (or she thinks it will calm them), while Nicole ties the dogs up to a chair to help them settle down.

Cleo returns with the buttermilk, but in their excitement to get fed, the dogs drag the flimsy chair they were tied to, knocking over all of the photographer's precious equipment. In the mayhem, the dogs manage to escape out the door! Nicole and Cleo's friendship has taken a hit after losing the dogs, but they both need to find them before animal control does!

Nicole plans to search high and low until she finds the missing dogs. Talk to her after 22 orders.

Professional Help

Things are still awkward between Nicole and Cleo. Nicole has searched everywhere she can think of, but after getting a weird GIF from Cleo of the two Dalmatians, you find out the two have been spotted by people around the two who have been taking funny videos and posting them online. Cleo can make out a building in the background, but she doesn't know where it is.

Deciding to get some professional help, the women enlist the help of Watson. His department chief had come to congratulate him in a chopper after the success of the grooming contest, and Watson thinks a chopper would come in handy for finding the lost dogs.

Hire a helicopter for 387 or talk to Watson after 27 orders.

Welcome Home

Watson searched in the chopper while keeping in contact with Nicole on the ground. On the other side of town, he spotted the Dalmatians near a location that matched the location in the GIF from Cleo. Watson gives you an Anchorite Table for One as thanks for giving him the chance to fly a helicopter.

With the new intel from Watson, Nicole raced over to rescue the dogs, but animal control had gotten there first and she realized she wasn't going to be able to take the catcher head on. By some stroke of luck, help appears, with the other animals that had been adopted out along with Cleo to save the day. Realizing they were outnumbered, the stray catcher retreats, and the two Dalmatians were finally able to go home.

Nicole realized how unfair she had been to Cleo, but Cleo forgave her and their friendship is as strong as ever.

Cleo says the Dalmatians were adopted out by an unlikely party: the photographer whose equipment had been destroyed! He'd been angry about his equipment, but when he saw the photos, his demeanor completely changed! The photos turned out amazing and he realized that the Dalmatians were truly special.

With the two Dalmatians with their new owner, all the shelter animals have been saved and Nicole is thankful for all the help.
